Simple Flower and Photo Frame

LEARN HERE HOW TO FOLD IT!

by  reneeraeyeh

This was my first simple origami design for a contest. The limit on the no. of steps and elimination of certain folding technique was a great challenge.

It is an easy model from a blintz fold and a lovely decoration piece. I wouldn't be surprise if it is a traditional model. My daughters enjoyed making this for their friends. The only tricky part will be the curling of the inner petals.

More details here: http://reneerae.blogspot.hk/2013/10/origami-creations.html

Enjoy.

Additional Info

  • Creation date*: October 2013

    Pretty cute reneeraeyeh!

You sure like creating models that are hard to categorize ; )

Can I suggest you to move it to the "others" category as well? I mean, I understand that depending on the intention of the folder it can be a usefull model or it can be a floral model. Since it's part of two categories but without one being more important than the otherI think it you be in that other category. What do you think?

By the way, the base you used here is called windmill base. That's step 1 to 5 in your diagrams. I thought you should know. One example is my Two piece envelope: http://neorigami.com/neo/index.php/en/useful-models/item/6965-sobre-de-dos-piezas-/-two-piece-envelope

    Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for your kind comments.

I have updated the category and the base info. Hopefully I will get a feel on things on your website. Appreciate your guidance and support! Have a great weekend!
