Crystal Conch Shell Star

by  KDianne Stephens

Tea bag folding is a form of modular Origami, originating in 1992 through the Origami work of Tiny van der Plas. She created many wonderfully different folds and has written a nice collection of books on the subject. Having loved tea bag folding, which originally led me to creating my own patterns for paper, I returned to doing some tea bag folding and found this “Crystal Conch Shell Star “in the paper”. Although the model can be pushed tightly together with no hole in the middle, I like the way the “shells” show themselves with the space. All a matter of “tasted”. The holidays will quickly be here, and tea bag folding often offers some lovely, fast models to give as a little treat to visitors.
